I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out.  I installed two Remote start / alarms in a 2003 honda pilot and a 2000 toyota 4 runner, both with the same brand, Autopage rs 650.  I am having the same problem with both vehicles, when remote starting, the alarm goes off.  Does anyone have an Idea what the problem could be.  I also have another problem with the 2000 4runner, its seems that when the vehicle has been running for a while, and if i try to remote start, it starts the car and the car runs for about 10 seconds and then shuts down.  This is only happening to the 4runner and it only happens if the car is warmed up, if i remote start it in the morning or when the car has been sitting, it stays on and runs fine, (except for the alarm going off).  Much Thanks........ MIke

Mike did you connect a disarm wire to the alarm? Sounds like you didnt. Your diagrams should tell you the factory disarm wire and location. Then you must send the proper polarity to that wire when remote starting. Your remote starter may have a ground when running output. Im not familiar with the autopage. Im afraid I dont know about the shut down when warm problem your having.

no I did not hook up disarm wire.  I think you are right because when it remote starts the factory horn alarm goes off, not the siren of the aftermarket alarm.  For the disarm wire, does it need a pulse or a constant output because the alarm has a ground while running output not a pulse output.  Thanks......

you need to pulse the disarm wire, just like pressing the factory remote one time to disarm.
