I have been using an old car starter made by Designtech called the Autocommand.  Everyone probally had one at one time, it was sold at Autozone and other local part suppliers.  It still works great except I want to be able to prohibit the starter from engaging when the car is in auto start.  My new system I installed in my other car has this feature but designtech did not put this feature in.  When you get in the car after It has been started and turn the key too far the starter will engage.  I want it to disable the starter untill I hit the brake and which then switches the car over to normall ingintion.  If anyone has  any ideas please post them.

Thank You

Salvatore

Look at starter kill relays in the the relay section of this website. You need to cut the starter wire and install a relay. There is a (-) out when running wire on that unit you have but it will be called Ign 3 I believe. It is a (-) ignition wire that you need to go to pin 85 of the relay. Pin 86 goes to Ignition, Pin 30 goes to keyside of starter wire, and pin 87a goes to the starter side of the starter wire along with the starter output from the RS.
