I just read this thing that said you should have a diode on a relay that is used for a starter killer.  Is this true? If so does anyone have a diagram for this? Thanks

So that is just for a passive starter killer?  If it is hooked up to an alarm it doesn't need a diode?

Wow...am I ever blind...never saw that little sucker in the diagram before. Someone should label that.  Will a 1n4001 diode work for that? Thanks
