I installed a remote start into a 97 blazer and was a bit confused on the 2nd ignition. My schemo said pink with white and white wires. My test light said pink with white is +12 and the white is a ign. Anyhow I hooked to the white. Everything seems to work ok, I just don't want any trouble with tranny problems with this infamous 2nd ign. My unit is an astro start. (there also is a brown wire in the harness that is an ign. does this need to be powered up also??)
Great site

With this vehicle, there are the possibility that it's one or the other. That's good that you tested it and found it to be the WHITE wire. If the PINK/WHITE is constant, then the WHITE is the 2nd IGN wire. The BROWN wire is the 2nd ACC wire that doesn't have to be hooked up unless you want to have the power to the radio & wiper's active during remote start .

Thanks,   I figured that, I'v just had bad luck with the schemo's I've been getting lately. The stupid check engin light came on and it raised a flag with me. Anyway it sounds like it's hooked up right. My client said the check engine ligfht comes on from time to time anyhow. Thanks again
