Ive spent the day installing an Audiovox APS-786 in a 2000 Toyota Echo.  Ive got most of it installed (minus the door, hood and brake pedal trigger) and the alarm works.  but the remote start won't crank or even power up the dash.  I tried programming the RPM's and it went thru fine.  Im thinking maybe it has something to do with the accessory isolation relay.  Is suppossed to be a separte relay or an existing one in the car.  I followed the diagram listed for the 2001 Echo and they seem to be right as far as polarity, color code, and location.  what am i doing wrong?

thanx in advance

Chris

Check the BLACK/ red and BLACK/ yel (toyota wires)when the key is turned on.If they have power(They Should) then try to remote start and measure for voltage. If not I'd assume that the remote start is not comming on for some safety reason.Start over and don't skip the small stuff it will get you every time.

I eliminated things such as the hood pin, door trigger, and brake pedal.  Could it be the neutral saftey switch?  which wire controls this??
