I am finishing up an install of a 2w8000 in a 2003 Mazda 6.  The problem I am having is with the door triggers.  The wiring diagram I had showed a negative trigger.  However, it appears to be a positive.  With the door open I get around +.5V and +12 with the door closed.  When I connected the negative sense wire from my Compustar it did not even register when I opened the doors (car kept running).  I switched and used the postive sense and now the car will shut down as soon as I open the door.  However, if I close the door and try to remote start I get 3 flashes telling me a door is open.  If I leave the door open after I get out the car will remote start fine.  Can anyone please help me?

I am not familiar with Compustar, but your car is negative trigger. When you close the door, you are getting 12V thru the domelight.

Maybe diode isolate the door pins?

How do I isolate the door sense from the 12V from the domelight? Or will it shut of when the domelight goes out?

I thought about diode isolating, but I only have one door sense wire so there is nothing to isolate.

Nevermind, I got it.  I used a relay.
