i bought a used 95 jgc, w/out the keyless entry remote, just bought one on ebay, used the instructions below, that i got off the forum, but nothing happened. meaning the locks never cycled on/off. the remote is new as well, it flashes twices when i hold it down, but that's all.
the problem i had before was, if i locked the door electronically from the passenger door, the next time i would open the car door from the driver side, the alarm would go off. the only way to prevent this was to unlock the passenger door first. also, anytime i would open the driver side door, and unlock all the doors using the unlock switch on the door handle, it would cause the alarm to go off if anyone tried to open any other door, prior to me turning the car on. i would be forced to open my door first, start the car, then unlock the doors. any help with this would be much appreciated
thanks
the instructions
1. Put key in ign. Leave in off.
2. Open driver door, leave open throughout.
3. Manually push door lock button to "lock" position, not using electric
door locks, just manually push lock button.
4. Turn ign to "run" position.
5. Within 20 seconds, hold lock button on remote till remote LED flashes
twice and electric door locks cycle on /off.
6. Within 20 seconds, push manual door lock back to "lock" position and
press "lock" button on 2nd remote till it flashes twice and locks cycle
again.
7. Turn ign key to "off" position within 20 seconds.

Does your keyless entry system provide a wire for disarming the alarm? If not you're going to have to find a way to send a ground signal the the OEM alarm disarm wire.

OEM Alarm Disarm:

VIOLET / YELLOW

(-) DRIVER KICK PANEL
