Problems with Viper remote Clifford Unit

I have a Matrix RS3.5, and my two way remote is getting trashed, so I got a new one from Best Buy, the 2 way (no screen) for the viper 791. I though that they were supposed to be interoperable with the new systems (the .5's), especially since the carry the same fcc id etc.... I cannot get the remote to even be recognized by the alarn (I reprog my existing one just to make sure it was working correctly.)

my question is this,

there are 3 remotes avalible now

1. the one way

2. 2 way with no screen

3. 2way with screen

will 1 or 3 work (these would be the viper ones, not clifford), or am I SOL for the viper remotes (and my freinds bb discount), and need to source a clifford (X model vs V model) remote from ebay?

any guidance would be appreciated!!

if by "no screen" you mean the LED 2-way, then you are wrong this is NOT compatible with the Responder product.... the LED 2-way units are an AM broadcast unit and the Responder (Clifford, Viper, Python) are an FM unit... totally different....

you either need to get another Responder LCD remote or the 472X FM companion 1-way remote.....

well that be that, thank you for your response....I will just get the one way one, I just wanted a back up, damn, now I probably wont get my discount :(

The Viper remote with the display will operate the clifford 3.5S.  Clifford and Viper are both DEI products. But you are not authorized your friends discount from Best Buy.  He can loose his job.
