I have a 790xv that had a 478 remote that worked fine. The remote got crushed and had to purchase another. I got a 479 and went per instruction. I first zapped the alarm with the bitwriter I then went to ignition on went to 8 count beeps and programmed alarm. Everything seems to work ok except if a trigger get tripped its not sending a signal to the remote. My old remote used to display that there was a sensor tripped on the remote in real time. This one seems to display but only when you disarm? I was wondering if anyone has seen this or if I am programming this remote wrong? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I have seen that. There doesn't seem to be much documentation on the remote side. I noticed that most of the programming modes in the remote are for light on/off vibrate on/off & multimode on/off... If there is a way to turn paging on/off from remote or brain I can't seem to find it. If someone knows that would be some serious kudos from me... Ohh well for now I will leave it the way it is... But if anyone can let me know on this one I would really appreciate it. Thanks again!

Not sure if there is a autolearn on this one or not..... I did look it up in the user guide... I think I figured it out thou. If you go into programming feature you can push * for paging updates. I think that is my issue. I will let everyone know if that is it... thanks again for the info...

On the 790, its step 8. On the 791 its step 1.
Try unplugging the harness from the antenna on the windshield for a couple minutes. Remove the battery from the remote at the same time. After you plug the antenna in and put the battery back in it will probably start working again.

those remotes require that you push all 4 buttons at once tilll you hear a long beep, then you can push the individual buttons to program different features, one beep means feature is on and two means off, if you dont do anything for 5 seconds, it exits programing mode.
