Could I use the dome light wire to serve as a (+) door trigger? I believe my 2000 chevy silverado has separate door triggers. It would be much less painful to use the dome light. Would it interfere with the domelight supervision (dome light comes on upon disarm). I have a crimestopper 2015FM. If this will work, does anyone know the color and best location to tap the dome light wire? Would I be better off using the door triggers?? The thing I question is, will the alarm activate upon disarm when the dome light comes on, thinking a door was opened or will the disarm be immediate?

On the 2000 Silverado

Locate the Body Control Module Under Drivers Dash Area, & Use the tan for the drivers door located in pin B4 of the purple plug, and for the passenger door it will be a orange in pin B2 in the purple plug or dk.blue/white in pin B11 of the lt.blue plug,

must add a 1 amp diode to isolate these wires. (By the way, it is a negative system here, clip your (+) door trigger for this vehicle, not used)

That should do it. See more on the diode isolation and on the car at either www.mrinstall.com  0R www.RELAYHELP.com of see my gm site off my main page www.12VOLTSERICE.com

Have a good day.
