2006 dodge dakota remote start

i had a viper starter put in .

it will start the truck but also sets off the factory alarm.

the shop that did it told me to go to the dealer and have the factory alarm disabled.

but there unable to do it.

how can i get it to work.

some one has had to install a remote start on a ne dakota.

The shop that did the install needs to be the responsible party.....its not a problem with the factory security, its a problem with how the remote start was installed.

Huh. I thought the Dakota disarmed with the ignition...yep, just checked. The imobilizer and the ignition should disarm the factory alarm. I bet they didn't energize everything. There's two ignitions and at least two accessories....

is this on the 05 or the 06 ?

i was told that there are diffrent.
