I just installed a 5204 Astrostart in my 2006 Silverado Duramax and it seems to be working correct.

My questions are:

-    When the "Wait to Start" light is on for the glow plugs is it a + or - signal on my truck?

-    And second I'm trying to hook up a Directed  556T timer to the Astrostart 5204 P10 connection. The timer module sends a (-) signal to the starter, but the installation manual from Astrostart does not give a wiring diragram for the connections to the P10 connector.   Can somebody help me through this?

Thanks

You do not need the DEI part.........set your unit for NEG(-) glow plug found behind the cluster. DK.blue.,

Don't mix DEI crap.....with astro...good stuff..........K..!

For this truck you do NOT need the P-10 connector

I do need the P10 plug if I want to hook up the timer.

I am out of range with the remote start and want it to start with the timer I have. Does anybody know the wiring pinout of the P10 plug on a Astrostart 5204.

Thanks

I see....use the astro RST-2...and just plug it in!

to use the DEI piece, youll need astro part # 310-903-271-01 its the harness that plugs into the p10 The pin is the #4 that gets the neg trigger (left to right)

Look at page 21 of the install manual

The dark blue wait to start wire at the cluster is in position A2 and is negative.
