 i am installing a remote start alarm (ultrastart2256m) on a 1999 dodge ram 5 speed, i need to bypass the clutch during start, do i need a relay?   tnx jmacf14

you can take the starter wire from the R/S unit, and connect it directly to the yellow/red @ the clutch, instead of the Ign. harness.

I cannot remember how the safety feature work for the AST starters. At any rate, this yellow/red needs a POS(+) start signal.

REMEMBER....you need to tag your hand brake AND your door pins to safely start this thing..1999 dodge ram clutch switch bypass -- posted image.
