I need help wiring up a keyless entry.  What kind of wire system do I have?  And what color wires am I looking for?

Hey Amanda,

First of all do you have powered door locks?  This car came without. 

If one was installed it possibly works by using the key in the door in this case you would have to add an actuator which will be controlled with your remote controlled system. 

If you have none of the above then you obviously you are starting from scratch and will need to purchase actuators and a module to control these.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

I suggest an alarm system with the leyless entry option. Almost all alarms out on the market come with keyless entry and you get the added security of the alarm. There isn't too much difference in wiring between the two except that the alarm will have a impact sensor and the siren & hood pin wire wire will have to be installed.
