IM trying to install a Carbin 4700 plus alarm on my 2000 mustang, v6. And im having trouble with the wiring into the factory alarm. What if anything, do i need to get to bypass that? Im not putting in a remote start, just a typical alarm. Ive tried everywhere lookin for help. Thanks ahead!

you need the factory disarm wire off the above tech sheet. you can either use the factory disarm wire off your aftermarket alarm to pulse this wire (if you alarm is equipped with such an output) or you can diode isolate the unlock wire to pulse the factory alarm disarm wire as well. if you can't find the factory disarm wire in the vehicle sometimes you can use a pulse before unlock/disarm to a relay to trigger the ignition wire in the vehicle to "wake" the vehicle up. i had to do this on a taurus i did awhile back and got the setup from DEI techs. worked great but haven't had to do it since then on any other vehicles but i'm assuming it would work on anything that needed to disarm the OEM alarm to be able to unlock the vehicle. good luck and hope this helps.
