I recently had the Viper 771xv installed into my 2003 mountaineer, now I am having some problems with my radio. First when I start the car the radio does not immediately turn on. No lights no anything for about a minute then it turns on and works fine. Seems to me that means that it is not getting the 12v Ignition on startup and it is being delayed for some reason. Then when I turn off the car the radio immediately turns off where it used to stay on until I opened the doors.  Any ideas as to why this could be happening?

is this causing a problem?  Anyways ...there is a possiablty that the installer is sending a trigger to the door wire to make the car think that the door has been open when the R/S shuts down.  This is to keep your radio from staying on after R/S shutdown.
Where theres is a wire there's a way.
