ive got a remote start by astra adn i want to install it into my truck but someone told me i needed a passlock? what is it and were do i get one?

you already have passlock, but you need the bypass for it. You can use a 1700G1/457GW from DEI for the bypass... I believe that this will also integrate the doorlocks and factory alarm through databus.

i can confirm that. The passlock is just a system that depends on a resistance to allow the car to pump fuel. with the wrong key, no fuel will be pumped into the engine. So during remote start, the BYPASS module pretends the key is there for 30 seconds to allow remote start. then turns off.
