Take the inner door panel off, there will be 2 10mm bolts and 1 snap in clip around the lock cylinder.

I appreciate the info but can someone assist  me with the inner workings of the mechanism on the inside  i.e a step by step hook -up of the key lock  and the opening apparatus on the inside

Define inner mechanism. Do you mean how to take it out, how it connects, or how it works? To take it out, all you have to do is take the inside door panel off, remove the two 10mm bolts, pull the snap-in clip down away from the lock cylinder, and then just push lightly. You then take the snap clips off of the lock and door opener rods and then it is completely removed.
Even better, Here is a link to a site that you can download the HELMS books for your car, if you don't know what a helms is it is honda's factory service manual. These have all the info on the car, how to take it completely apart and put it back together.
