radio to amp wiring needed

i have a 2002 dodge ram pickup and i need some help with wiring the radio to the amp . the radio only has 1 connector and a anttenna cable.

do i splice my speaker wires at the radio and run thjem as inputs to the amp ?

do i need heavy gauge wire for the amp to speaker out put >?

can any one give me some ideas ,,, all would be greatly appreicieated

first please detail WHAT you want to install. Model # are great.
Then list the equipment that is already in the truck. ie. radio model # speakers etc. . .
the aftermarket amplifier will need :
1. +12VOLTS from battery
2. Ground
3. Remote turn on
4. Audio signal.
I would recommend that you buy an amp wiring kit from your local stereo shop. The correct size of the wire depends on the power of your amp.
