Hello All,

I have an install to do tomorrow on a 2006 Mercedes s430 and I need to know where I can find a good ignition source to pwer a GPS tracking system. I have seen a lot of people posting wiring locations at the key cylinder but the vehicle has the smart key and I would prefer to stay clear of it if at all possible. I am looking for something capable of supplying a little more current as the unit I will be installing has a display and can pull close to 2 amps peak. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Brian

Chuck it up the back end, you've got the battery for constant and a fuse box with at least one live on ignition circuit.
Antenna or antennae can go inside light fitting or under rear shelf or under bumper.
Much easier than the front and less to go wrong, the electrics on that vehicle are very, very $$$$ touchy.
