I have 2011 Jeep Compass in my shop, the the driver and passenger air bags have been deployed because of damage to the right front. I am in the process of replacing them with the sensors and control module unplugged. When I attempted to move the vehicle after a few second of movement the traction control warning lamp comes on and the vehicle acts as though the brakes are being applied. Any suggestions or Info?

How racked is the steering alignment from the damage? If the steering wheel is far off from center it is possible stability is kicking in. I know this is an issue on lifted Jeeps pre-alignment. Steering wheel position is an input to Traction/Stability control.

There was no steering or suspension damage at all only some damage to the radiator support and right frame rail where the bumper reinforcement attaches. I placed the steering in the straight ahead position before removing it to replace the clock spring. None of the air bag system components are "plugged in" now,
