2007 Tahoe antenna amplified?

Everything works on my 2007 Tahoe Eclipse NAV install except the radio antenna. I have tried several different adaptors and they all work for a few seconds as the Tahoe is being started, then static. I can turn the car off then back on and get the same thing again. As the chimes are playing though my GMOS-LAN-01 all is well with the antenna reception, after that though, static...
It's definately not the antenna adaptor as I now own three, and all three do the same thing. The Tahoe was a NON-Bose basic factory radio.
Is the antenna amplified? Is it turning on then off because it doesn't see the factory radio? If it is amplified, is there a workaround to keep the amp powered during Eclipse on time?

The truck has an antenna module in front of the passenger side rear side window. There is a white wire from the radio to it and the factory amp to turn it on. Check to see if this wire has power on it when the radio is on.

sparkie,
Can I simply find the white wire in the factory radio harness and use my amp turn on wire from my Eclipse to power it? I am not running any amps, just the head unit power. Could you point me to which wire in the factory GM radio harness?
Thanks a bunch,
Adam

Yes you can find that white wire at the radio. It is in the 14 pin plug in cavity 6. It is the only white wire in the plug.

Thanks a bunch sparky, I'll give it a shot this weekend. I'm just surprised that no one else has had this problem with the 2007 GM Trucks, or do I just have a bad Metra GMOS-LAN-01? I would have thought Metra would have known about the amplifed antenna and sent power to it, go figure...
Thanks again,
Adam

sparky,
Worked like a champ! The must be a problem with my GMOS-LAN-01 as there is a blue wire leaving it which should be powering the antenna. I just hooked up my power antenna wire from my Eclipse to the wite wire in the harness and all is well...
Thanks again,
Adam

You could try having the unit exchanged. It may or may not be a design flaw. The problem could be with all of those units, but it would be a good idea to ask where you got the kit from if they know about it and are there other issues. I am glad to hear that yours is working know though.
