I installed a DVD player and LCD today in my 97 yukon. After installation I tested it and it works great other than 2 things. One, I used an FM Modulator (for input source) since i have a factory headunit and am only getting sound out of the right channel. Two, im getting lots of ground noise out of the speakers but none in the wireless headsets. Im sure a filter will fix the ground noise problem but I cannot figure out what the deal is with only getting the right channel (audio) to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try swapping your right and left rca's. If the problem switches sides then your dvd may have a bad channel or your rca's are bad. If the problem remains then your Fm mod is bad. Also make sure you don't have the balance faded to the right, hehehe. For the noise, in my experience, make sure the fm mod isn't touching anything grounded and if it is then hold it off of the bare metal and listen, if the problem goes away then wrap it in something that will prevent it from touching any source of ground.

Ive switched the RCA's and when I do I get no sound. Im going to try another rca wire and see if thats the issue, if it is then I gotta pull the seat, trim, and all the front carpet to replace it :(
The FM Mod is in the dash behind the deck held with some super heavy duty industrial velcro on plastic so its not grounding out.

Hey thanks for the help. It ended up being the FM Mod. I got a new one and wired it in and it works great. Also got a ground loop isolator and it killed all the ground noise. Here are a few pics of what i finished with. Thanks again for the help.
