Does anybody know the color for the VSS on a 1996 Monte Carlos? I have been told I might be able to find it in the stock stereo plug but dont know the color of the cable.

SPEED SENSE is dk. green and reads4000 pulses at the ECM

Thanks Jeff, just to make sure, will it also read 4000 pulses at the stereo lead. and would you happend to know if it's an Analog or Digital sensor?

Yes it will read the same in both spots & I'm pretty sure it's the analog sensor as a digital sensor would require fiber optics for the signal transfer.
