I kno most of those are but like wat about custom in the dashboard or somethin like that. Where can you put them so that it will pass inspection. thanks in advance

Here in chicago, it can be anywhere except for in the driver's line of vision.  Visor is okay as long as it's in the passenger side.  No steering wheel.  Headrest is allowed.  In dash is allowed, but they need to be off while car is in motion.  What I did, cause I had the same problem, I hooked up a kill switch to turn off all the monitors in the car at once.  I haven't had any problems.  Hope this helps.-

Generally you can put monitors anywhere in a vehicle as long as the are not in the drivers view while the vehicle is in motion, or if they are in the drivers view they must be disabled. For example you can have a monitor in the steering wheel as long as when the vehicle is in drive or as long as the ebrake isint on then the monitor wont turn on.

The other posts are correct, but with the increasing amout of head on collisions due to monitors and other distractions, may states are beginning to implement new laws.  You can go the DPS website in your state and check what laws they have.

Does anyone know if a passenger visor monitor for a Chev or GMC Sierra 2004 will fit in a 2000 GMC Yukon
I'm looking at one on EBAY but want to double check before closing the deal.
