I've searched and searched and the answers I find are that the VSS wire for my Ford F250 Super Duty is a grey wire w/ a black stripe. I've located wires in 2 locations matching this description. However neither one appear to work for my navigation unit. The two locations I have found are:

Driver's side engine compartment in a bundle of wires passing thru the firewall.

Passenger's side engine compartment coming from a component mounted to the inner fender.

Can anyone here provide another location or if you've installed one before the exact location and any images?

VSS WIRE

Gray/black

At Powertrain Control Module

8000ppm

Pin-68 on the F150 and F250, Pin-58 on the F250 and F350 Superduty. The PCM is located on the driver's side of the firewall.

Would this be the same for an '03 also? I have a feeling things did not change that much between '03 and '04, but I have been wrong before.

Speed Sense	gray/black		instrument cluster or
Notes: Also found at the radio on vehicles that have the in-dash CD changer.
