Hello, I'm new here and I'm not familiar with electronics to where I can figure these things out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I have a switch which is basically a "Push-to-make". When pressed it creates the circuit and when release it breaks the circuit. So, suppose what I'm looking for is information on what type of relay(s) I will need and a diagram to accompany it.
I'm looking to utilize this switch to power driving lights on my brush guard of my truck. To turn on and off the lights I like to push the button to turn them on and when pushing a second time it turns them off.
Is there such a way to do this?
The lights requires 12vdc, 30amps.

You are using a momentary switch/button. Why not get a push on/push off switch/button to replace it?
You can then use the switch to control a relay to handle the current draw of the fog lights. I would also suggest wiring the relay off either the headlight or ignition circuit so you can't leave them on unintentionally.
Follow this wiring
Terminal 86 will control the relay. Wire one side of your switch to a switched +12v source of your choice (parking lights, headlights, ignition) and the other side of your switch will go to Terminal 86.   Be sure to use a fuse on the 87 terminal as depicted in the digaram.

Thanks for the reply.
The switch I have is a switch from the Nissan and matches the rest of my switches. I would like very much to keep the natural and default look.

Forgot to add.
The illustrations are from the Nissan Xterra model vehicle, I have a Titan.
Is there such a way to do this that is fairly simple?

You can follow the relay diagram for power to relay...Is there something more specific you need...? Are these just 2 wire aftermarket lights...? Does the switch "lock" in place...Then when pressed again,it releases...? If so,that would be fine to use...The switch would be in-between the power source and the relay...awdeclipse seem to be to have explained it...? Maybe i'm missing something...?

I've outline in my first post the switch is does not lock when pressed. When holding the button it closes, but when releasing it opens. I was looking for assistance on using the switch, push 1st time to turn the lights on and then push 2nd to turn them off. The catch is, as I pointed out, the switch only closes when holding it in.

Thanks. However, I already tried your recommendation and doesn't appear to work as I like. The 1st time I push the switch it output 12v but when pressing the switch the second time it would not turn them off.
This is when I decided to post over to see if I could get any assistance.

It should work fine...Check connections...Did you use the diode or no-diode diagram...?

I used the 5-relays one, non-diode. I went through the connections 3 times and was not able to get it to work. I will work with it again tomorrow when time permits.
I registered over here to get some assistance as I couldn't figure it out.
