jeep dash lights

The dash lights on my 89 cherokee recently stopped working and its driving me nuts.Can someone give me some repair advice to remedy this?I can change motors and rebuild trannies,but electrical is like rocket science to me.

My headlights and tail lights work,along with the dome.I have juice at the fuse box and the fuse is good.

I have another problem i need some advice on if you guy's have the time to diagnose it for me,I would really appreciate it.

I was testing my park lamp socket and accidentally shorted the wires which blew the parking lamp fuse.Replaced the fuse but now the lights don't work at all???Ok since the park lamps and the dash lights come on at the same position in the headlight switch I thought it could be switch realted.....but how would my headlights and tail lights still work if the switch is bad?
