I bought soem LED lights for my car, and am getting irritated with all the wires needing to go to the cig lighter. I'm new to wiring and don't want to mess up. I would like to know how to install it cleanly, and not use the cig lighter to power them.

Well if you don't want to use the cig lighter which many people don't do now a days, they just hard wire it to a power source in thier car., you can use alot of other power sources to hard wire the neon lights.  Your cd player's has a power wire you can tap into. you can also tap into a fuse if you wanted to. There are alot of power sources you can tap into. The only problem is that usually the cig connector has the on/off switch. so if you hard wire it, u might want to get a switch and connect it to a switch.
If it doesn't make your heart jump, Its not rite!
