I know this subject has been posted before....but i need the wiring codes for a non-bose setup.
I have the wiring diagram for the 15940102 radio but I am not sure which wire would be 12volt output for antenna/amplifier.
Based on a previous posting...
Looks like someone referred to a pink wire in the center console if they had a BOSE amp. Mine doesn't have amp or console. But looking at a diagram of the connectors for the 15940102 radio. I see on the connector #1 a pink out(position #4)(my vehicle harness doesnt have.....probably cause it didnt have external amp) that i could tap into. The only thing is this position shows Voice Recognition Audio Signal....which i dont think would have 12v output.
The other connectors which I think it could be is connector 2 - position #8 (orange) amplifier control.
or connector 4 - positions #8(negative) or #16(positive) (both are Amplifier audio prompt signals(+ or -).
I'm thinking i can try to run a meter to see what it does when radio is powered up. I just hate to burn the radio if any wires i try are not meant to be grounded(when checking for power).
Anyone with installation knowledge would greatly help. Probably anyone who has knowledge of the factory amp wire and where it connects to the radio's connector/wire position. Thanks.
Pete

The wire to use for an amplifier turn on is the 6th position(white wire - Entertainment Remote Enable Signal) on the C1 connector(1st connector on the passenger side with the main power wires).
Good luck whoever needs this info.
