I am putting the mach 460 into my car, and i only got the back and front tweeters working (the ones from the door.) I dont have the top tweeters, only the ones that come from the 5x7's. From the back, i have the whole box with the wire harness that come with it. i cant get the 5x7's  working and i'm not sure how the wiring goes. I have the big harness connected (the ones that gives audio) but the "power one"  i dont know what all those wires go. i just know that a purple ones has the main power to them and there are 5 left, one blk and dk green, 2 black and white, 2 black and littler green. I have seen the wire diagrams and i cant really understand them. if anyone could help me or quide me in the right direction where those go. also one more question,  i'm sure that whe the audio system is playing that the 5x7's put out tweenter mids and bass right? or its it like just tweeter or sub.

i am an idiot

When you purchased the harness for your vehicle, were there 2 plugs in the pack or just 1?

yeah it has 2 of them. one is the audio for the back but in the other one, it has 6 wires. one the power and the other 5 i dont know. also if this helps, the car on the other end the 6 wired one harness suppose to plug in, it only has a 2 wires harness.

On the smaller plug, are there 4 RCA cables and 2 wires?    If so, one of the 2 wires is the amplifier turn on wire, the other I think is a ground for the amplifier.  The 4 RCA cables need to be cut off and stripped.  There is a shield and a center conductor on each of the cables.  You need to connect the center conductor of the purple cable to the purple speaker wire connection.  You will have 3 purple wires connected at that same point.  Do the same for the 3 remaining colors.   I do not remember if you ground all of the rca shields together and ground them to ground, or if they float.  When I get to work today I will find out for you.

on my connection i had a single plug with the 6 wires on it, i didn't have any RCA cables. i just have the bigger harness, that connects directly to the harness the car has (by the kick panel) and i have the other smaller connection 6 prong female connection. those are the 2 only harnesses that come from the box. The car by the kick panel, it has a 2 prong connection where as, i guess the 6 wire prong connects to(the one coming from the box.) But the car one (2 prong) has a black & dark green wire and the other is purple & light blue. I think the black and green are ground, and the purple and light blue is constant power.

The light green pair of wires you have left, does one of them have a black stripe on it?   Which plug are they a part of, the larger or smaller plug?

they are part of the smaller plug, they are all black but with a green stripe. There are two types of green a darker and a lighter. and these are the lighter ones.
