big 3 necessary?

I have an aftermarket HU, and 4 aftermarket RF speakers in the doors. I'll have a 500RMS JL sub, and a Alpine PDX (600RMS) installed soon. Other then that, the car is barebones. There are a total of 3 unused 110v outlets, and I found information for my 2008 Xterra that the alternator output is 130. I went outside to look at my battery, and there is a lot of wires coming to and fro, and it's pretty elaborate. Looks like it's not going to be as easy as upgrading on a car or older vehicles. Some other useful information: 140amp and 80amp fuse on both sides of the positive post. Below that, is a 100/80amp fuse on the 140amp fuse, and 60/80amp fuse on the 80amp side. Hopefully that's enough info to determine whether or not I need to do the big 3. Thanks guys.

I always recommend upgrading the Big 3 whenever you can afford to do it.  There is no need to remove any of the factory wiring, although you may have to use different battery terminals or modify the alternator posts.Support the12volt.com

If I just create my own route for the big 3, and connect the new wires to the battery posts, chassis, etc, will that bypass the automatic voltage regulator(sp?)?
