I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand prix and I went out and bought a new stereo for it. (head unit) The new Stereo I bought is a double din and my stock is a 1.5. Would it be possible to fit this into my bay easily? Or will it be a cutting job?

I am guessing that you WILL have to cut. I was going to tell you to go to the auto parts store and pick up a "Vertical Dash Opening Extender" but they do not make those anymore. They were discontinued several years back.

You will need to customize the opening to acommodate the larger face on the DBL DIN deck as well as ensure that when you have the DBL DIN deck installed, the face is able to open and retract properly.

Really? I guess mine is valuable then. I keep it alongside my cans of striped paint and my very handy DeeBee adjustment wrench.

Dude, is the DeeBee adjustment wrench for sale? Mine came up missing about 10 years ago, I sure miss that jewel.
