so i got new tires on my car. the car guy threw one of my tires in the back of the trunk and my system stopped working. I thought maybe one of the wires got hooked loose so i went in the back and made sure they were all fine. my remote wire is wired to my head unit but it doesn't signal my amp to turn on. ive tried running the remote wire from the amp to cig lighter and fuse box, but still nothing. ive ran the wire to the positive wire and still nothing. the ONLY way i can get the amp to turn on is if i have the remote wire ran from the amp to the head unit/ciglighter/orfusebox AND have a wire from remote to power.. i dont get it. any help would be much appreciated

Sounds like the 12v+ wire on the amp got messed up. If it was shorted out then you would of blown your remote power sources fuse too. Is the fuse by battery or any others along the way blown? Can you verify voltage on the 12v+ at the amp?
This is what I do for FUN!

Buy a Multimeter...Will come in handy ...It would be alot easier to check power at the amp and go from there. Check output on remote lead on stereo...Usually Blue/White...Should be 12v w/ radio on and car off....Around 14v if car is started...
