I have a 1995 Plymouth Neon, with an old OLD audiovox head unit on of my friends ripped out of his old jeep. He helped me with an amp install as well. I added another a few months ago, and appropriately have a remote wire running to each of the amps. I want to add another amp for tweeters, but I don't know if tapping into one of the remotes and running another wire will blow the circuit on the head unit. Do I need a relay? thanks.

No you will be fine running 3 amps you could probably run 5 or 6 however I would not recommend doing so.   But if you were to add a 4th amp or another component requiring a remote turn on lead then I would suggest one.

generally after adding more than 3 components to the remote lead a relay is needed to be safe or you can always fuse a remote wire but that could be a pain in the a##.

I would recommend a relay after using the turn on lead for 2 devices; amps, crossovers, or power ant.

I agree with the above, I say after 2 or 3 componets you should go to a relay.
