I am planning on running 3 DVC subs which are 4+4ohm subs with a mono amp.  So that'll be a 2.667 ohm load on the amp per channel.  Is there any way to take advantage of the DVC subs and run the amp at a 2 ohm load per channel?  I know if there was 4 subs, it would be a 2 ohm load, so could i trick the amp some how and run wires from the amp for a fourth channel but have the 4th channel's power be distributed evenly between the 3 subs?

i have a similar problem, i have a 2 channel-2ohm stable amp with two 4ohm subs id like to find a way to have a four ohm load bridged or a 2ohm load per channel. I was wondering if it was possible to use resistors to lower the load on the amp?

to anwser your question though i do not believe it would be advised to use the 4th channel that way
