I am a newb when it comes to car audio, so bear with me here.  I just bought a Kenwood Sirius Satellite unit for my car, and I want to find out how to hook up the FM modulator.  It says it needs 12v+ supply, but I am kind of weary of where to connect.  There is a 12v+ wire on my radio harness, so could I just splice the two wires together?  If not, where are some good places to connect to 12V?

Thanks in advance

You have the rite idea, If you have an aftermarket radio connect it to the remote turn on lead Blue wire with white stripe. If you have a factory radio you will need to connect it to the Switched + 12 volt in your radio harness (just splice them together). Beware their is a constant +12volt and a switched +12 volt in your radio harness. Make sure you connect it to the switched + 12 volt. If you have a voltage tester you can test the wire, Turn on the ignition and it should have power, turn off the ignition and it should have no power.

thanks bberman1, that's exactly the answer I was looking for.  Looks like I will be doing a little installation tomorrow.
