Infinity Kappa 572.5 CF Speaker Issues

Here's the issue.  I have 4 infinity Kappa 572.5 CF speakers, powered by an Audiobahn A4601Q 4 channel amp.  1 Of my front passenger side speakers sounds slightly different from the others.  It seems a little deeper, and somewhat muffled.  Am I facing a blown speaker?  Wiring incorrect?  It has an external Crossover.

I think my polartiy is correct.........any other suggestions?

Actually, I just double checked everything.  The mids work fine, but the Highs, from the tweeter, aren't sounding very well.  How do I check for tweeter function?

When I said check polarity I meant to also check the hookups from the crossovers to the tweeters and woofers on your system.  The Kappa 572.5CF uses external crossovers, and if the polarity to the tweeter is wrong on one or both speaker systems, your sound will be muddied.

Yes, it is possble, but it would affect the sound from the woofer much more than from the tweeter.  IIRC, those 5X7 Infinity's have plastic frames, so if the speaker mounting opening on the damaged door got tweaked and is not the correct size, the speaker may have gotten twisted or distorted physically when it was screwed down.

I suggest swapping the speakers right and left, and see if the problem moves with the speaker or stays with the door.  Then you'll know which is causing the trouble.
