Thats a pretty good deal on those subs, I wouldnt recommend ebay, but many people have good luck with it.  Many of the experts on here will no doubt diss MTX, but they make a good, inexpensive sub, also make sure you realize that the RMS wattage on those subs are 750, the 1600 is the max. So shop for a amp according to the RMS rating.

I will throw support behind MTX any day of the week. I still stand behind the 9500 as being one of the best subs out there. The lower end stuff workes really well and have used it in countless cars for customers and have almost always had great results. Why would you think people would Diss the mtx stuff

It just seems that many of the experts on here diss any mainstream companys, aka. anything you can buy at curcut city.  From what ive heard of MTX I would endorse them. A guy in my area has a jeep w/ 4 MTX 10s in a custom enclosure, it shakes every body panel on the truck. I dont know what model subs they are, but they put out some insane bass.

Do you think that an MTX Thunder502 will be enough? or should I spring for the Thunder942?

I also support MTX.  I support ANY company that still manufactures equipment in the good old USA, and MTX gear is generally good sound for the price.

just remember that mtx is power hungry,  if you get mtx subs, make sure you got enough amp to run them or you wont get much out

My old MTX thunder 5000 subwoofers still get loud when hooked up to a test bench.  Thumbs up for MTX from me.  I gotta remember to ebay those one of these weeks.

I don't have a problem with ebay.  Some of the online stores there are just as reliable as many of the other unauthorized dealers on the internet.

Those are some real good subs.  Get you a good 800 watt 2-ohm stable mono block amp and you should be able to turn a lot of heads.
