I have an 04 Silverado with AM/FM only and want to replace it with cd player such as a Pioneer DEHP3600. I also have a 10 inch sub and a HiFonics Eagle 4x45 watt with crossover amp to install. Also going to replace the factory 4x6's and 7" speakers.

I'm no expert on installing stereos and amps but usually have no problems. Can anyone tell me what parts I need to buy to install the stereo itself. I know I need harness's for the stereo to plug into the factory plugs. What other parts would I need. I dont live close to any audio stores so I'm trying to get everything I may need before I start the process. Also, where is the best place to buy stereos on the internet?

Seems like the new cars and trucks are a nightmare to change radios in. Any help is appreciated.

you will also need an installation kit. This makes the, I believe Chevy is a din and a half, opening to a single din opening so you can slide in the basket and bend the tabs. After you connect your wiring harness, you slide your HU into the basket and it clips in.

On the newer Chevy's it is one piece that snaps off aroundthe guage bezel and the HU. If it is an automatic, you will have to put the shifter all the way down to 1st to get the piece off. After you get this off, there are four 7mm screws that hold the stock HU in, these will also be the four that hold your kit in.
