97 ford taurus radio removal

I am tring to pull out a factory radio out of a ford taurus 97.What got me stumpped is the set-up how the factory radio is all together with the ac and heat .now my question is there a speacial tool or a speacial installaton kit.please help.thanxdave25456

2 fork tools..........U can make your own out of old metal coat hanger or get from auto parts store or go to retail shop and use theirs.  Don' t forget to unhook heater control on driver bottom of consoleMO

go to like best buy, circuit city or some other audio shop and get a ford tarus install kit theyre like 60 bucks the come with every thing u need. u need to reuse all the heat/ac controls which will require u to take the old dash piece apart. u then need to run the speaker wires that come with the kit to the trunk where the factory amp is. you will also need a ford reverse and foward antenna adapter. any questions pm me.Clarion DXZ745MP

There is a new kit for this car, it requires removal of the factory heat and air conditioning controls etc. from the backside of the factory unit and re-attachement to the new unit. There is a standard din slot in the new unit for a cd player. Have a look at www.scosche.com and look for the kit part# FD134030B to see what it looks like. This vehicle should need a specific wiring kit to make it operate,  the proper wire should be part# FD10B. Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
