Okay, I want to set my gains using the mulitmeter method. My amp is a Eclipse DA7232 Class D 2 channel amp. I will be putting a 2ohm load to each channel which is 1000watts per channel and that's a very conservative wattage. This amp is very underrated, but I'm thinking it would 1000x2 which is 2000 then square that amount which is 44.7 volts AC at speaker leads. Does this sound right? I'm thinking I should use somewhere in the 1400 watts per channel which would more like 52.9 volts AC.

This amp is rated at 850 watts per channel into a 2 ohm load.  That's 1700 total watts.

My spec sheet say's 1000watts RMS x2 into a 2ohm load. When speaking to Eclipse they said its capable of producing more then that but couldn't give a exact figure since every amp the make benchmarks different. The peak wattage is 4000watts.

Check yer PM...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
