{p}{SCRIPT} window.open=NS_ActualOpen; {/SCRIPT}I bought a 3/4inch MDF box pre-made, and the carpeting on it goes all the way to the opening for the driver. If I were to load the driver in, the rim of the sub would be seated on the carpet and not on the MDF and I don't think that the carpet provides a good seal. Or does it? Should I cut the carpet away using a blade?{/p}{p}Thanks{/p}

if your speakers have a rubber edge surround then it would be wise to remove the carpet . the rubber edge gives a good tight seal on the MDF .
