Gah! Help!
I just installed on friday a Kenwood KDC-6011 head unit that I bought on ebay. It worked fine until yesterday. I hopped in my car, started it, then turned on the head unit. The next part shocked me...the unit lights up, and I can hear the CD spinning, but no sound comes out. Today, I tested the speaker wires coming out of the head unit. None of them are producing power.
Anyone have a clue on how much this would be to fix? I assume it's a dead internal power amplifier?
Thanks,
Richard

Could be dead.  Could also be a short on one of the outputs, either a shorted speaker, shorted speaker wires, or an RCA output shorted to ground.  This will cause the HU to shut down the internal amplifier.  Make sure nothing is shorted out or touching ground.  Remove power from the HU (disconnect the constant power from the battery) after you clear the fault and then reconnect to see if it clears the condition.
