I have a totoya tacoma 1999 with 2 audiobahn 12" dub edition woofers (700 watts RMS) and an audiobahn mono 400 watt amp. They thumped so hard it was unbeleiveable. Then a couple days later they blew i had them hooked up at 2 ohms a peice what is the deal....why would they blow if the amp didnt have enough power to even push them to the max.....

Somone please help me because i dont want to blow my next pair if i get new woofers. subwoofer blown -- posted image.

They blew because:
A. You use Audiobahn, and Audiobahn is shhh.
B. main reason< you most likely had the gain on the amp set too high and sent them a clipped signal (And distortion and such). if you get another pair, make sure your gain isn't too high. its not a volume control....

ha ha ha ha i like reason A the best, but not enough is just as bad as too much sometimes a bigger amp than what u need is always going to run cleaner signals b/c the amplifier never peaks out if tuned properly

the best part of a job is seeing the bumper get smaller over the horizon
