I am installing a kenwood in my 06 sienna with a jbl system. I have gotten the hu mounted and the wiring to power it and the over head display. I removed the factory amp and now this is where i am. The car has 8 speakers on the sides a front center and a back sub (stock). The hu has only the norm 2 fronts and 2 backs. It also has pre outs for the front center and a sub as well as 2 fronts and 2 rear. Now I want to wire the 8 sides on the regular outs but 4 of them are small speakers ( i assume tweeters) do i need inline crossovers for those and wire them in with the other 4? The front center - i was thinking a 2 channel to run that and the sub, or do i need a 4 channel.  I am not looking for a rocking mini-van, but i do want the movies to sound good and crisp.

Thanks

Luke

When your vehicle has seperates and a factory amp, it's best/easiest to retain the amp unless you're replacing the speakers as well.  That way, there's not much "figuring out" to do.

Well, I would love to keep the factory amp. How do I wire into the amp? I need the wiring diagram for toyota jbl system. Were would i get that? I have all the pre-outs on the kenwood receiver. I would be glad to tie that into the factory amp.

Can anyone help me on this one. Can I wire into the factory amp for all the channels?

Do i need to get a few crossovers and an amp?

A quick search on google gave me this: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/audio-electrical-and-wiring/60199-2006-jbl-digital-amplifier-integration-module/

Well, I appreciate the link. I checked it out and it tells me there is no way to wire into the amp without a tyto module that is not out yet. I have searched all over the net and this seems to be the answer. I am going to wire the unit to just the 6 door speakers with the  hu. When the tyto module comes out I will buy that and intergrate the factory amp. Unless someone else can help me with info on how to get it to work without one.

Thanks for the help!

Luke
