Hello guys,

I've installed a head unit of Sunkyo, model SK-0097USB. The problem is that when I'm connecting the memory line to the +12V line of the car, the blue led lights are active. They won't turn off. They work even when you turn off the unit. That is a problem beacause it draws a lot of attention at night, and moreover it uses the car's battery for no cause.

I would like to emphasize that it only happens when I connect the memory line. The led lights are on even if the +12v of the unit is not yet connected to the +12v of the car or to the power switch.

Currently, I've connected the memory line and the +12v line of the unit to the key power switch, so that at least when I'm out of the car, the led lights are off. But all the radio stations are not saved and the unit won't remember anything between the switches now.

leds pull about nothing so draining the battery wouldnt be a problem...alarm systems use leds and that doesnt drain the battery.

Hi guys,

Besides the led lights issue, which are active all the time, the display is very weak.

I come to think that the unit is somehow set to "Night Mode". The odd thing is that I don't think that this unit has "Car Lights" connection, so I don't understand how I can shut it off.
