Amp turns on, doesn't power Subs.

I have a Boss Audio Rip-D3 Monoblock Amp 2100RMS@1ohm pushing two 12" Audiobahn ALUM12N 1000RMS(Sound Q's). 4 guage wire used. Subs are wired in parallel to a 1.5 OHM load I believe. Amp turns on with vehicle (1993 Jeep Cherokee), but subs do not play. This just started a week or so ago, and the system was set up a little over a month ago. I have repeatedly checked the ground which is in the middle of the jeep connected to the frame and seems to be fine, since the amp turns on. Also, when it first went out, I was able to get it to cut in-and-out by pressing firmly on the three fuses on the side of the amplifier, but quitting very soon after. Any input or ideas I would greatly appreciate. Thanks

What's that?!?! Quality control issues with a Boss amp? Well, I never... If you play with the fuses, and the amp functions intermittently WHILE playing with the fuses, then there is an issue with the amplifier. Return it to the place of purchase, get a REFUND, and buy a quality amplifier with that money, and maybe a LITTLE bit more cash... With crapola, cheapie, swap-o-rama amplifiers like Boss, the "power light" only indicates that the remote lead is on, it does not indicate the power supply is functioning correctly. I can tell you this, because you said it works intermittently WHEN you play with the fuses, this means you are making or breaking the contact inside the actual power supply INSIDE the amp, causing the funny operations...It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice.
