has any1 put 6x9 speakers in the rear of g-body  in stock location with boxes? Problem is torsion bar springs for trunk are in way. Thought about hatchback struts but i dont know what kind or how!

Just buy the plastic 6x9 adapters from Metra; they're about $13 and most shops should carry them.  Most any standard 6x9 will clear the struts; some huge ones won't.
