I just finished putting a carvox cx2300a alarm/remote starter into a 2007 F150. Locks, horn, etc all work, and everything is working fine except the remote start. If i press the sequence, the lights flash once and the horn honks, but thats it. The ignition wires do not show any voltage. I have tested the brake and hood pins and all are connected correctly and showing the proper voltage... but it just wont start. Tach is hooked up, but I have not found anywhere in the manual where to program the tach rate. I did a quick search and found a similar issue, but there was no solution. Does someone have something for me? I am so close to having it done.... it just doesnt want to start. I also tested the 4 pin harness going between the brain of the alarm and the remote start module. The wires are actually labeled (+) and (-) and then the other two are laveled with dots and dashes. The (-) wire is not showing continuity to ground and the (+) wire only shows 3.34 volts.
Oh yea... the only other issue, and if there is no solution i'll just change to negative door trigger.... i used the dome supervision wire to the positive door trigger wire (the neg. trigger wires are a pain to get to). and if I arm it, when the dome light turns off it triggers the alarm. The alarm should only be triggered when it sees 12v, not loses it... but it sets it off anyway. Like I said, this is not a big deal b/c I can just do the extra bit and tag neg. trigger... but this was just so much easier.. lol
Thanks

I just had the same remote start installed in my 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe.  The park lights flash, but then nothing.  No fan, dash lights or anything.  Did you find a solution to the F-150??

How did you hook up the Neutral Safety wire? Did you just connect it to the ground?

I connected it to the parking brake switch, and the remote start is working with no problem.

at first i grounded it, but then moved it to the parking brake switch. Either way, the parking brake switch is simply a ground anyways, so that shouldnt matter. I called the guy that she purchased it from (on ebay) and he refused a refund, but said that he would replace the brain. I am not exactly comfortable with teh systme at the moment, so we'll see what happens. Personally I would rather just put in a compustart, but its not my money.

The main control unit detect the ground from the parking brake everytime when you shut off the engine and arm your car. If you do not set your parking brake before you arm your car, the remote control will not show the "P" icon and it will "beep" three times to remind you and the remote start will not work.

Since you already connect it to the parking brake, you can try to do this:

1. Set the parking brake

2. Unplug the power to the main control unit and then plug it back, it will reset the main control unit.

3. Start the engine with the key, close the door, release the parking brake

4. step on the brake, set the parking brake, shut the engine off and take out the key

5. close the door and arm your car.

If the "P" icon is shown on your remote, try remote start your car.

If the "P" icon does not shown, make sure you connect the N Safety wire to the correct wire on the parking brake switch, it ground only if the parking brake is set.

even though it is set for automatic, will he still have to go through this sequence everytime he wants to start the car? This also means that I am giong to have to tag the negative door trigger instead of the (+) dome supervision wire for my door trigger.

Did you ever find the problem with the system, I have a similiar problem in another post. My problem is only with the remote start, I have no response after the car recieves the signal, except three beeps on the remote, then nothing.
